Oh that we could all stop and enjoy the depths of Gods creativity and the ends to which nature declares the glory of their creator. I thought I heard my camera say “wow”. So I said “My thoughts exactly!”

The leaves whisper, the trees shout, nature happy dances until raindrops ride leaves to the ground and autumn shuffles off the stage

“Let everything that has breath, Praise the Lord.“

These are excellent Gary. Thank you. You have captured these scenes so well. Thanks for sharing. May our thoughts turn more often to our Creator and His magnificent Creation. Who doesn’t love an actual autumn season? You are blessed. And we are blessed to know His Name…

Gorgeous pictures, Gary!
Here in northern Michigan we are just starting to get the changing colors. In another week or two, it’ll be in full-blown “Hallelujah Mode.” (I like that term!😏👍)

Thanks Annie.
I recently mentioned to a friend that “our trees turn pentecostal once a year for awhile, then they go Baptist again”
Being he is Baptist, it started a discussion that’s not done.

I picked up some samples of the leaves around here while walking today. What denomination do you think these are? 😏

Wow, I recognize the 3 oak leaves in various stages of fall as well as some maple and a type of aspen leaf, the rest are similar to trees here but not sure. More like the early church with diverse gifts and at different stages of growth. How is that for avoiding the question and digging a hole for myself with someone…?

Not at all. I love that answer. We have diverse personalities, backgrounds, gifts, stages of maturity … The Body of Christ in all its glory. 😊

I suspect that God will not let his body here get too fat, or, have too many eyes and no ears.

Thanks Jo. I often think of autumn as breaking into 4 part harmony with some 7ths and accidentally added…another week and we will lose some of the choir here.

I can only imagine the wows driving from me to you on some of those roads Bruce. I’m waiting for the tamarack swamps to add their particular Golden colors.

I have never read nor heard Fall referred to as “Nature in Hallelujah Mode”, but that is a gem of a phrase. Fall is a beautiful season!

I can only imagine some of the autumn drives you have witnessed Betty. I should probably never pull a trailor in the fall. I would be stopping traffic to take pictures on our narrow roads through lakes country and other scenic drives.

I believe this is one of my favorite posts that you have shared…you capture the magic of autumn so beautifully. The photo of the lone leaf floating on the water is awesome, and the reflections of the reeds on the water are incredible also. In the fall, God’s handiwork is in the little details, as well as the big canvas of wonder. Thank you for sharing some of those magnificent details with us via your camera! We say, ‘Wow’ too!

Thank you Linda. You have an incredible eye for details, and an artistic bent. You see those nuances and insights coming as nature physically reflects the spiritual truths in front of our eyes that many miss.

We are so blessed! God has gifted us with so much wonder and beauty in this world. Every season of our lives has gifts to offer…sometimes, they are wrapped in ways we were not expecting. With faith, the gifts emerge before our eyes and in our hearts. I think God gifted us with the natural world to help us understand life better. In fall, the landscape is painted in profuse colors; in winter, the landscape is still alive, but the palette is more subtle. In the stillness of winter, we learn many things. There is some hardship in the ice and cold, the fighting to survive, but there is also incredible beauty. Winter teaches endurance, and it teaches us that in due time, spring will come again. Through it all, God has etched His love notes in every block of ice, every snowdrift in the darkest night of winter.

Thanks Dora. Many of these pictures were taken off the dock while visiting friends on a cool drizzling day….the colors are enriched on a day like that, and a nice latte following tastes awesome…

Thanks. Those wow moments were mostly from a friend’s dock between light and drizzling rains..very fun.
I have an old 35mm camera with a couple good lens. The subdued light made the colors pop wildly.
The other factor….it is said that “beauty lies in the beholder”. That’s a very true statement with a lot of layers.

I will admit Melissa, that having a part in brightening someones day is just fun.
God did the heavy lifting on this one.
I just took a few slices of the pie and froze them in time.

Your camera definitely said, “Wow” Gary. My husband was born in a tropical climate and when he retires wants us to move to Florida. I on the other hand couldn’t imagine life without the four distinct seasons. Each season has such beauty to offer and is its own feast for the senses.

I love the 4 seasons as well Beth. I also would not mind 6 weeks in Florida starting with Feb 1 as the fishing is slow about that time and winter seems long around then.
I would need a snake and bug proof (and hurricane proof) cabin down there with an alligator fence around the property to feel safe.

Thank you Ellie. There is something very settling and peaceful about just being there in the moment. Wouldn’t it be great if the Aaaaah…lasted a little longer? Like through the next heavy traffic experience?

Such beautiful and vibrant pictures, Gary. And yes, a Hallelujah. It makes our Southern California Autumn seem gray and dull by comparison, at least down here closer to the coast. Thank you for sharing.

We are blessed with lots of color in Autumn and then our world turns white and quite cold for the winter. Then I think of my California, Texas and Florida friends and their blessings on weather.

Thanks…No worries…I was wearing camouflage when I shot the pictures Matt. And, you are kind of a busy guy. I would not mind having some of those days over but as you know life doesn’t work that way.
Oh the things that display the beauty and glory of God.
