Lately God has been speaking. I think I am listening. Am I listening? Sometimes he even highlights the clouds outside my window to get my attention. I’m really not ready to write yet, so I will listen more

Lets listen to God more than sometimes in 2020
Gary
Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning.
Red sky at night, sailor’s delight.
God has something good coming your way it looks like. At least weather-wise, maybe more.

I guess I am hoping for more G.W. Thanks for the encouragement.

It’s kind of amazing how God has put all these reminders around us, the rebirth of morning, the rebirth of spring, to reinforce the reality that He is our source of life, all brought about totally devoid of any input from us. The silent majesty of creation that He is. The beauty of the detail and the splendor of His work. Even the silence speaks of Him and then to think that He speaks to us, if we acknowledge who He is and listen with our hearts. Have a blessed day Gary and thank you for the reminder.

So True Bruce. God’s can silently speak to us loudly in answer to even our thoughts.

I’m thinking that is why you and I love being out in the woods so much!

Yes, and we have learned that God can speak actively, rather pointed and loudly through his creation, even to our thoughts when we listen.

It’s amazing how God gets our attention through the beauty of nature. No spoken word.Just a quiet unassuming nudging. You are blessed to recognize this.

Thanks Stephanie. I feel blessed that way as well. My thoughts of a blog were to find some highlights of 2019. There are not many as it was a year of losing so many family members (2 aunts, an uncle, dad and my wife’s mom). And God highlighted the clouds. Amazing.

I always listen when I stand in the yard and photograph one of God’s beautiful sunrises. I love the solitude and quiet as I think of God and his love and take photos of the picture he has painted for me to enjoy. God Bless.

That’s great Lizzy. I think it’s one of the ways God draws us to HIm and brings us to deeper levels.

Nature should draw anyone to God – if they only stop to see and listen.

Beautiful! God is always there for us speaking His wisdom into our hearts. The sky is a wonderful palette; the light changes and everything is different. Dawn or dusk, God is endlessly seeking to be present with us. Quietude can be very good for us…a chance to escape the world, and know only His peace.

So true Linda. It is sad on our part when HIs voice and presence seems out of context with our hearts desires, our life style and even our speech.

God understands us as no one else can. That is the most beautiful thing about His love…He never changes and neither does His love. He meets us where we are; His abiding presence remains constant.

Absolutely Linda. I am quite sure our understanding of God’s Love can only scratch the surface. A bit like our understanding of eternity.

So true. As scripture reminds us, ‘His ways are above our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts.’ Isaiah 55:8-9

It sure is Barb, and He delights in being continuously creative whether we pay attention or not (which is our loss).

An old coworker of mine used to say, “Look what God did for me”, everytime she saw a sunset. 🌌
